EOS 5D Mark III","caption":"<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"color:#595959\">On August 4 2020, Beirut was shocked by a massive explosion that took away around 200 innocent lives, and a wake of devastation in its tracks. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"color:#595959\">It is estimated that the port explosions directly impacted 291,180 individuals living in 72,265 apartments located across 9,700 buildings within three kilometers of the epicenter. This has led to the displacement of households to areas mainly located outside of the immediately impacted area. However, a majority of affected households continue to reside within their damaged buildings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"color:#595959\">The explosions came about in addition to Lebanon&rsquo;s deteriorating socio-economic and financial crisis.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"color:#595959\">Our shelter response focused on repairing the houses with minor to medium damage levels (Level L1 and L2), in close coordination with the shelter cluster and the Beirut Forward Emergency Room, targeting the most vulnerable households.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"color:#595959\">The target of the project is 32 households with a minor and medium level of damage.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"color:#595959\">With the progress of project implementation, IRL was able to complete 34 houses, which means exceeding the target by 2 households.
